Antmicro at Wroclaw University Computer Science Winter Camp

February 20, 2022

ZOSIA - the Computer Science Students' Winter Camp, is an annual gathering for students, graduates and lecturers associated with the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Wroclaw. It started 20 years ago with a tight-knit group of friends and has grown to a group of about 200 people from all over the world. During the three-day conference attendees are welcome not only to enjoy talks, but also various outdoor activities, trips, and of course integration with past and current students and lecturers.

This year as Antmicro is sponsoring the event and sending an official team with a presentation on ‘Accelerating AI processing on the edge’ that will be delivered by Karol Gugala, Engineering Manager at Antmicro. In his presentation Karol will focus on introducing Kenning - an open source framework from Antmicro which mitigates the compatibility issues between different edge devices from various vendors. He will also discuss the problems of deploying AI algorithms on resource constrained devices. Efficient AI algorithm inference requires hardware acceleration - very often vendor specific and often leading to vendor locking. With Kenning, as Karol will show, it’s no longer an issue.
