We were excited to once again be a part of ZOSIA 2026 - the annual winter camp for the Institute of Computer Science students at the University of Wroclaw!
From March 6 to 8, we spent an amazing time together in Szklarska Poreba - with mountain hikes, inspiring talks, lots of laughs, evening singing sessions, and a party that went on until sunrise. The event once again brought together over 200 participants! It was also our fifth year in a row as a gold sponsor, which made this edition even more special for us.
Big thanks to everyone who came to our talk “Accelerating AI”, presented by Krzysztof Biegański and Maciej Dudek - and to those who stayed afterwards for a chat. Our primary goal was to discuss software and hardware solutions to improve performance of the LLMs. We started with software approaches: higher level languages and their advantages, low level optimizations that focus on the data locality, parallel processing in the form of multithreading, vectorization, fine-grained multithreading, and the systolic data processing in the TPU accelerator. Then we moved on to discuss bottlenecks in the form of memory bandwidth, power consumption, and how one can affect the other. We finished the presentation with a short guide on digital design and open-source silicon.
And of course, no ZOSIA would be complete without great conversations over our company beer - many of which continued well into the night. If we didn’t get a chance to talk, feel free to reach out - we’d love to connect!
If you missed ZOSIA but are interested in what we do and would like to work with us, make sure to visit our careers page and join our team!
See you next year!
